It will do much more than monitor GPU temps, display the info in your system tray as well as on screen in games. If you decide to give it a try, post back with any info you need or problems. There are more than a few folks here that use afterburner, myself included.

I've noticed that while running Anthem, my GPU usage does not go higher than about 30% (according to MSI Afterburner). Changing the setting in the game only gets me a variance of about 5 FPS, so no noticeable changes from that. While the first GPU is showing 99-100% usage. The first few days it was working flawlessly but now it doesn't. I tested both of the cards individually and they are working perfectly. Install MSI Afterburner, enable the in-game OSD, and enable OSD monitoring for GPU clock, temp and power draw. Do the same for every CPU core. Run a game where this happens and have the OSD active. Most recent games won’t run well, or not at all, without a dedicated graphics card. Every time i play OW i keep having to deal with low GPU usages and low FPS for some reason. I play on 1440p with 75% resolution scale and have a GTX 1080 Ti/ i7 4700k @4.3 GHz. I doubt that the issue i'm having has to do anything with CPU bottleneck hence my CPU is around 50% usually during mid game and never reaches 100% whilst playing.
